mediation with English subtitle

Applicant: Aiko Nakamura(Female, age 55) Living in Hokkaido (1000km from Tokyo)
(running a restaurant with her husband)
Respondent: Hajime Hayashi (Male, age 80) Living in Tokyo (Used to be a teacher)

Aiko’s older brother (Makoto Hayashi) Passed away 2 years ago. Used to live right next to Hajime Hayashi (Aiko and Hajime’s father)‘s house.
Aiko’s mother (Yoshiko Hayashi) Passed away 3 years ago. Used to be a teacher

 Summary
Four months ago, Hajime Hayashi fell down a step in his house, hit his head, and was hospitalized for a while. Yamada-san (a 75-year-old woman), a neighbor who happened to come to pass a circular notice, found him. Since that incident, his daughter Aiko Nakamura, who is married and living away from her father, has been quite worried about him. After the hospitalization, Hajime needs a cane to walk.
Aiko lives far away from him and also has a family business (restaurant) to take care of. So she can't rush to the scene even if something happens. Aiko’s husband's parents live with them and there is no room for them to take Aiko’s father in. Hajime Hayashi's house is owned by himself, and the family has lived there since his grandfather’s generation.
Recently, Aiko is not getting along very well with her father. He seems to be asking for advice from Yamada-san about various matters. Aiko also knows Yamda-san well as the next-door neighbor from her childhood. One month ago, Yamada-san called Aiko out of concern over Aiko and her father. Yamada-san said, “When I talk with him, I can’t help but emotionally side with him, partly because my age is close to his. But that makes it difficult for me to help you two. How about using a mediation service?” Aiko applied for mediation based on this advice.
